You're planning a baby shower, small dinner, or workshop (under 30 guests).: Stay on Free. Watermark on PDF is small and doesn't affect readability.
You're planning one wedding, gala, or fundraiser (50-300 guests).: Buy the Event pass at $9. Single charge, watermark-free PDF, place cards and table numbers from the same chart, unlocked for 180 days — well past your event date.
You're a teacher rotating classroom charts every two weeks.: Pro at $19/mo: unlimited saved events, multiple charts per cohort, and zero watermark on the substitute-folder copy. Education discount available — email us.
You're an event planner running 5+ events a year.: Pro yearly at $59 covers a full year of events for less than one event pass plus a single month of Pro. Step up to Business ($29/mo) when you want your events synced to your account and open on every device.

Is the free plan really free, forever?: Yes. There is no time limit and no trial countdown. The free plan caps at 5 tables and 30 seats per chart; if your event is smaller than that, you never need to pay.
What does the watermark look like?: A diagonal Seat Chart App text watermark across the chart at about 12% opacity, plus a small line at the bottom of the PDF. It's noticeable but doesn't obscure the chart or guest list.
Can I cancel Pro?: Yes. Cancellation lives in your account settings whenever you want it. Your existing charts stay available on the free plan after cancellation; new charts beyond the free-plan limits need an active Pro plan.
Does the Event pass auto-renew?: No. The Event pass is a one-time $9 charge. After 180 days, your chart drops back to the free plan tier — you can still view and export it, but new edits beyond the free-plan limits require Pro.
Do you offer a refund?: Yes — 14 days, no questions asked. Email us and we'll process the refund. See the refund policy for details.
Do you offer discounts for schools or nonprofits?: Yes — email us for an education or nonprofit discount code. We typically discount 50% off Pro for verified schools and registered 501(c)(3) organizations.
