Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-06-09

1. The agreement

By using Seat Chart App (the "Service") at https://seatchart.app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. These terms are a contract between you and the small independent team that operates Seat Chart App.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old to use Seat Chart App. The Service is intended for adults planning events and for educators.

No account or login is required. The free tier works in your browser. Buying Pro or an Event pass unlocks features via a licence stored in your browser — there is no username or password to manage.

3. Acceptable use

You may use Seat Chart App for any lawful purpose. Don't use the Service to create content that is harassing, hateful, illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights. Don't attempt to interfere with the Service, scrape it at scale, or reverse-engineer it.

We reserve the right to suspend access for accounts that violate this section.

4. Subscription, billing, and refunds

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly via Stripe. Event passes are one-time charges. We offer a 14-day refund window — if you request a refund within 14 days of purchase, we'll process it without asking why. See our refund policy for full details.

Pricing is subject to change with 30 days' notice. Any price change applies to your next billing cycle, not the current one.

5. Your content and our content

Charts you create are your content. We don't claim ownership of your charts, guest names, meal notes, or layouts, and — because they stay in your browser — we never receive them, so you don't grant us any licence to them.

The Service itself — the Seat Chart App software, design, brand, logo, written guides, and venue reference pages — is our intellectual property. You may use the tool and print its output for your own events; you may not copy, resell, or redistribute the Service or its content as your own.

5b. Disclaimer

Seat Chart App is a planning tool. Charts, floor plans, and the venue reference pages are for your own planning and information — they are not official documents, tickets, or guarantees. Venue section names, capacities, and layouts are general references; confirm details with the official box office.

Seat Chart App is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any venue, team, artist, or organization named on the site.

6. Privacy and data

See our privacy policy for what data we collect, how we use it, and how to request deletion.

7. Service availability and changes

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee 100% uptime. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice. We'll keep your data accessible for at least 30 days after any major service change so you can export your charts.

8. Cancellation

An Event pass is a one-time purchase — nothing to cancel. To cancel a Pro subscription or change your payment method, use the link in your Stripe receipt email or contact us and we'll help. You can stop using the Service at any time; your browser-stored charts remain yours.

9. Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law.

10. Governing law & disputes

If you have a problem, email us first — most issues are resolved quickly and informally. These terms, and any dispute relating to the Service, are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator is established, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence. Disputes that can't be resolved informally will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms over time. Material changes will be announced via email to subscribers. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change.
