Tips before you go
Bring a clear bag up to 12 by 6 by 12 inches or a one-gallon clear zip-seal bag. A small clutch or fanny pack up to 4.5 by 6.5 inches may come in too. How to read the Starlight Theatre seating chart
Each tier has a center section 1, with the other numbers spreading out to the sides. Orchestra has sections 1 to 3, Box 1 to 5, and Plaza and Terrace 1 to 7. A tech booth, marked Tech Bunker on the map, takes up part of rows U to Z in Plaza 2.
Rows start again in each tier. Orchestra runs A to M, Box A to J and Plaza A to Z. Terrace uses double letters, AA to ZZ, so Terrace row BB is far behind Plaza row B.
Accessible seats, with wheelchair spaces and movable-arm seats, are in most price levels. A Variety KC Sensory Room opened in July 2026.

The 10-story stage house, the $10 million Jeannette and Jerome Cohen Community Stage, opened in 2000. Four 35-foot fans were added to the seating bowl in 2018. Starlight's campaign fact sheet says a planned canopy will cover about 3,220 front seats. In October 2025, the Kansas City Star reported that this work was paused until fall 2026, and we found no newer public update.
